I will be traveling to Switzerland with a US Girl Scout Troop. We will have 3 adults and 9 14-15 year old girls.

-Can non-resident youth use the Children’s Co-Travel Card (CCTC)?
-The CCTC youth can travel with adults carrying point-to-point tickets or Swiss Travel Pass Flex Cards, correct?
-It sounds like CCTC can’t be purchased ahead of time and must be purchased at the train station, correct?
-What papers do we need to bring to purchase CCTC at the station?
-Does the CCTC cover buses and boats?
-Does it make sense for us to pursue a group discount? Not sure if it applies when using Children’s Co-Travel Cards.

The Child Co-Tracelcard is not available for groups, as stated in the travelcard’s FAQ:

Ok. Thank you. I missed that!

According to the Day Pass for Schools page of the SBB website, “Children, young people and accompanying adults can travel for one day in 2nd class for as little as CHF 15 – wherever the GA Travelcard is valid.” We will need to travel via train/bus on 3 different days. Can we still use the Day Pass for Schools? I guess we’d get 3 Day Passes for Schools (DPFS)?

Are the DPFS tickets flexible, for instance if our flight arrives late/early to the airport and we miss the train or are able to catch an earlier train?

Does the DPFS apply to buses and boats, too?

We need to travel from Frutigen to Adelboden Oey via bus. When I was pricing out point to point tickets, the legend had a little box with a line indicating “GROUPS: transport limited”. What does that mean? Is that ok for a Day Pass for Schools group?
