A point to point ticket is valid on any train on a predefined date from 00:00 until 05:00 AM the next day for a single journey (1 ride) from A to B, e.g. Zürich - Geneva. With it you can take multiple stops along the journey, e.g. in Bern, but you aren’t allowed to back-track or to ride the journey multiple times.
Does your point-to-point ticket indicate zone numbers (e.g. 110, 121), this means it is a point-to-point ticket of the local fare network (e.g. ZVV). It allows you unlimited travel within the indicated zones for as long as the ticket is timely valid (see validity start/end date/time).
The Saver Day Pass allows unlimited travel on any train on a predefined day from 00:00 until the next day at 05:00 AM. You can find more information on the advantages of the Saver Day Pass here:
