Is it legitimate to buy a point to point ticket remotely for my child (to ride the tram home from school by herself when I cannot accompany her) using my SBB app? If she gets inspected, will the ticket i purchased for her (short distance single travel under her name) show up if she presents her SwissPass??

Hallo Nha,

When you buy a ticket point-to-point for your daughter, you have to enter her details and then send her a copy of the ticket, or enter your daughter’s email directly when you buy the ticket so that she receives the ticket by email.

Tickets purchased with your swiss pass account will not be loaded on your daughter’s swiss pass account.

Alternatively, you could download the SBB Mobile App on her phone, and authenticate with your SwissPass account; by doing so she could display the tickets in the app. The same SwissPass account can be shared among 3 mobile devices.

In any case, she must have an ID or her SwissPass with her at all times. E-Tickets are only valid with an ID or the SwissPass, this also applies for children.
