Cannot locate Customer number required to register for mobile app

I have purchased a Swiss Travel Pass for 15 days and now I want to register the same in mobile app. It asks for Customer Number, however, I cannot find Customer Number on my ticket or even when I login on the website.
Please guide / help.

Did you sign up for a customer account before the Swiss Travel Pass purchase? If no then you cannot use your pass on the SBB Mobile app.

I created the login during the process of the purchase of the swiss pass (i.e. Did not select ‘Continue as Guest’).

So even in this case, will it be the same?

Thanks for your feedback; after having provided 1′700 useful answers, I can be wrong as well. I am not error free, neither are you? The OP seems to have understood it, though.

You can create a customer account, and with it purchase tickets. By doing so, you can benefit from free-of-charge ticket cancellations. Also, most tickets are synced between different platforms when using the same username / password.

When purchasing tickets as a guest, there is no free ticket cancellation.

You can create a customer account at www.sbb.ch/en > Login > Register now > No customer number. Or by using this link: https://www.swisspass.ch/register/2?lang=en

Thank you very much for taking the time to answer to my frustration. However: I’ve already done this multiple times, I’ve been a CFF (SBB for 3 years but my German is not good) customer since I was born and had all the previous to 2021 iterations of the Swisspass Card or whatever you Tüplfishiesser want to call it and I still do not understand why there is a Swisspass Login, a Swisspass Card and a Swisspass customer number, none of which link together. Please do not answer that, your time is more valuable, stop giving your time away to the red giant.

a Swisspass Login, a Swisspass Card and a Swisspass customer number, none of which link together.

They do, and this for millions of SwissPass users. You might want letting us know your issue. We shall see if we can help you, too.

Thank you for your time but I am 100% convinced that you DO work for the SBB/CFF/FFS. Otherwise why would you take the time to answer me after the way I treated you? Please stop acting like a fool and admit that you are part of the incompetent customer support. You’re just trying to hide behind this facade of “volunteers” so that your dear red leader doesn’t take the blame. Pathetic and shameful behaviour from SBB. Just admit that the entire system is anti-consumer, badly designed and nothing works as it should when it comes to your avant-guarde systems that put computers before human service.

Updates:
I called customer care number mentioned on the website and got the information from them that this number is assigned only to the swiss residents.
Non-Residents are not assigned any customer number and effectively, non-residents / tourists have to use paper / soft copy of the pdf ticket. They cannot use mobile app to register the swiss pass.

Hope this helps all tourists / non residents.

I’ve followed the discussions and I and we would really appreciate it if we could communicate in a respectful way. The fact that there are/might be problems (by the way, SwissPass is not SBB) has nothing to do with a specific user or a group of users. If we are solution-oriented, we can try to change things in a positive way. Otherwise, it will be difficult.
