We are a customer support page run by volunteering travel experts; we are not the SBB customer service; thus, the “please fix that” is not going to work here.
- Most European webshops require nowadays 3D secure ID; make sure it is enabled for your credit card and retry.
If it still does not work even with activated 3D secure ID, go to your customer account at www.sbb.ch > Login and try adding the card there. It will be automatically synced to the SBB Mobile app if you use the same user account on both platforms. We do know from experience that the SBB Mobile app is sometimes a bit more ‘picky’ what the concerns the acceptance of added cards.
A note concerning EasyRide:
It is not recommended for use by tourists, at least not if you do not hold the Swiss Half Fare Card in addition. You would pay a fortune for tickets while there are by far cheaper tourist offers. Inform yourself on the different ticket possibilities before making ticket purchases. The latter should be the very last step in your travel & itinerary planning.
