Best Pass also valid on the Glacier Express

I am looking for the cheapest option for a two-day trip for 5 people in July (2 adults, 3 teenagers: 17, 17, 21 years old).
Could you please check if this version is OK and I have found the best option? (I wasn’t sure whether the Friends Day Pass for Youth is also suitable for the Glacier Express - with an additional reservation.)
We don’t have any other travel cards and we aren’t planning any other trips in Switzerland.

Day 1: Glacier Express from St. Moritz to Zermatt
Plan: 2 x Saver Day Pass (now 52 CHF/person) + 1 x Friends Day Pass for Youth (80 CHF) + 5 x seat reservation (49 CHF/person) - total 429 CHF

Day 2: from Zermatt to St. Moritz with different means of transport
Plan: 2 x Saver Day Pass (now 52 CHF/person) + 1 x Friends Day Pass for Youth (80 CHF) - total 184 CHF

You probably already found the best option, if doing one journey with the Glacier Express. You could save an additional 49.- per head if taking the regular trains instead (select via Andermatt in the online timetable for the same route), which could be less crammed with other tourists, at least on some sections. Just be aware of the very limited (basically non-existent) refund options for the Saver Day Passes, that risk is part of the deal.

All special family/friends whatever tickets should be also fine on the Glacier Express, otherwise this would be mentioned in the ‘conditions’ section of the respective info page.

Don’t expect any deals on the GE reservations, as you’ll be travelling during peak summer season.

if my doughter has her 16. birthday in the beginning of July, and we travel at the end of July, she cannot be considered as a child, right?

No. The discount extinguishes on the day she turns 16.

How are you getting to/from st. Moritz? If you have other travel planned getting the HFC or a Swiss Travel Pass may be an option as well.

We arrive to St.Moritz by car and plan to travel by train for 3 days.
What is HFC?
I’ve already bought saver day passes for 3 days for 2 adults and plan to buy 3 pcs. youth passes (suitable up to 4 persons under 25) for 80 CHF/day.
We have no other passes etc. - is there any more favorable solution.

Ah, you have an big piece of iron limiting your options. That explains why you are doing the st. Moritz - Zermatt route in both directions. Not being encumbered by a car you would be able to do more interesting circuits.

The Half Fare Card (HFC) not only gives you 50% off on public transport, but als on for example mountain railways and cable cars. It is often a good option.
