How to make a seat reservation?

Hello. I am buying a train ticket for two people on train IR35 on 2.7.2025 at 16:12 from Zurich to Chur in first class. I tried to make a reservation on sbb.ch. I couldn’t find anywhere where I could make a seat reservation. The instructions didn’t help either. Is it possible that I am trying to make a reservation too early? Could you help me with this?

Seat reservations are possible on train 2375, departing Zürich HB at 16:12. However, I think it is still too early to book for the month of July. You can already purchase your tickets, but currently, the reservation is possible until June 10th, I recommend you try again on April 3rd 😉

Sure you can reserve seats. But it is not needed on that route. Save the money for a beer at your destination :-)
