Did the SBB inform you that your backpack was found at the Tirano station? In this case, you have probably a contact address. Items are not stored in the stations.

Or do you mean the Tirano station of the Italian Railways?

Yes, SBB informed me that my backpack was at the Tirano station through a phone call. But I don’t know who to contact to request that it be sent back to Mexico. I suppose it belongs to the Italian Railways.
They told me that I had to send an email to request the shipment via DHL to Mexico.

You have two stations in Tirano, one for the trains from/to Switzerland via Bernina and one for the trains from/to Milan. If you received a call from the SBB, you certainly lost your item in Switzerland. However, I don’t understand why your backpack was in Tirano if you travelled from Visp to Zermatt. You may have misunderstood the station name.

Unfortunately the SBB has no mail address. You can call the Contact Center with this number:

Thank you very much for the information.
Let me explain: Once I managed to get in touch with SBB, I was traveling from St. Moritz to Tirano, so I requested that they send my backpack to that station. Some time passed, and the day after the request, I was traveling to Florence, so it was no longer possible to pick up my backpack at the station. Now I am trying to contact the station to request the shipment of my backpack.
Someone from SBB told me in a call that I needed to send an email, but you mentioned that they don’t have an email address, so I will call the phone number you provided.

To have lost items sent to Mexico, you have to call SBB. There is no way of contacting SBB because you will be required to pay the charges for the shipment right through the phone using your credit card.

Beware, shipping to Mexico is quite a costly undertake.
