Hello, I am travelling in June, arriving into Geneva and then staying in Montreux for two nights. I plan on visiting Lausanne on my first day and the next day I have a seat reservation on the Belle Epoque from Montreux to Zweisimmen. Due to there being a 2 hour wait for the goldenpass express, I will likely use an ordinary train to Interlaken (unless there is something to do for 2 hours in Zweisimmen?). My current itinerary is as follows:
Day 1. Geneva Airport to Montreux
Day 2. Montreux to Lausanne return
Day 3. Montreux to Interlaken (Belle Epoque + ordinary train)
Interlaken to Wengen
Day 4. Wengen to Bern return
Day 5. Wengen to Lucerne (via Interlaken to Lucerne express)
Lucerne to Zurich airport to catch evening flight.
I had originally thought that a half fare travel card combined with saver day passes might be the cheapest option but am now wondering if a half fare travel card plus a Bernese Oberland ticket may be better and easier. Am I correct in thinking that all journeys (including my scenic train choices) are covered under the BO with the exception of Geneva/Lausanne and Lucern to Zurich airport?
Thanks in advance for any help!
