Swiss Half Fare Card and Swiss Family Card

Hello, my wife and I have bought the Swiss Half Fare Card and downloaded the SBB app. We’ll be travelling with two children aged 6-16 yo. It says in the website that we just need to add the children as co-passenger and they should be travelling for free, since they are travelling with parents with Half Fare Card. However, the price for the children was the same price we get as adults with half fare card. Question is: do we need to request for a Swiss Family Card online/physical? Because in the “add travelcard” menu there is no Swiss Family Card option, just the half fare card. Thank you.

On the website it says that you add the children as co-passengers when you buy the Swiss Half Fare Card, so that you get the Free Family Card included.

If you have done that you now have the Family Card, and there is no need to buy tickets for your children, and that is why there is no “Family Card” option under discounts.
