Danhiel, good point about the weather-so in the event the weather precludes taking a boat, we would continue to Luzern, then take a bus to Weggis. I suppose worst case we could hire a taxi, but that would probably be very expensive from Luzern to Weggis. Our trip is early May-how often does the weather get bad enough that the boats are cancelled during that time?
RolandP, I agree that being on the upper deck would be the best option if the weather is nice, better to see the lake and shoreline. Do boat tickets sell out? I have been told that they do not sell out for trains, but I wasn’t sure about boats (or buses, for that matter).
