When to buy prepaid seats?

Hi, I have just purchased Swiss pass for myself & my husband, a youth one for my eldest son and my younger son is free with the family pass.
We will be traveling in July from
Zurich to Luzern
Luzern to Grindelwald
Grindelwald to Zurich.

Do I need to prebook these seats? I am concerned as it is peak holiday season and I don’t want to miss out on the time we would like to make the most out of our holiday.

You do not need to pre-book seats. Nobody does that. Do you pre-book seats on the London Underground? The New York Subway? Trains are mass transit. Used by people to go about their daily business. You just go to a station, find your train, and get on.
