St. Moritz to Varenna

We are attempting to buy tickets for a trip from St. Moritz to Varenna. We get an error message stating “An error occurred while the provider was processing the request. Error code: IP-25 (ID😃8lugA8).” Any ideas what we may be doing wrong? Thank you.

This is a known problem, it is impossible to buy a through ticket. You must buy a ticket from St. Moritz to Chiavenna for the bus and a ticket from Chiavenna to Varenna for the train. Be sure to select the right train, tickets in Italy are valid only in the selected train.

I hadn’t tried Trenitalia for our May 7 trip. It looks like we may just take the bus to Chiavenna and then train from Chiavenna to Varenna.

You could also just buy the ticket at the station in st. Moritz. It is not necessary to buy these tickets in advance.
