The price difference seem to good to be true

Question: Will I be able to use the Saver Day Pass for this trip
and not buy the Point to Point tickets?

Rule of thumb: The Saver Day Pass is a public transport pass, it only covers public transport. Public transport are all transports that go to places that are permanently inhabited. Hence as you can see on the map the Schilhorn cable car is covered from Stechelberg to Mürren, but not the sections beyond that.

One more hint: Get your (regular) tickets only ‘last minute’ once you know that the weather at the summit will be ok. E.g. once you’ve got reliable local weather forecasts, or after having watched live webcam footage before leaving your accomodation.
Regular tickets are always available in unlimited numbers at the same price, so there’s absolutely no need to ‘secure’ them in advance. Wasting money for expensive cable car tickets on a bad weather day with the summits covered in thick clouds/fog makes no sense at all.
