swiss half fare card or half fare travelcard

I am planning a trip to Switzerland in August and I would like to buy the Swiss half fare card.
When I am buying a ticket the system allows me to select: a) Half fare travelcard o b) full fare.

I read the half fare travelcard is different that Swiss half fare card, the first one is for people who lives in the country and the other for tourist. If I have the Swiss half fare card, may I select the a option? half fare travelcard? This option is for both cards (swiss half fare card and half fare travelcard).

Yes you can select the Half Fare Travelcard if you have the Swiss Half Fare Card (SHFC).
They are basically the same. You can also manually add a SHFC to your SBB Mobile App for easier and faster ticket purchases.
