How to buy half fare card on the SBB app for tourists

Hi I am reaching Switzerland in this week - wanted to check how can I buy the half fare card on the app?
As a tourist do I need to fill out any form for purchasing the same?

Purchasing the Swiss Half Fare Card on the SBB Mobile app is impossible.
There, you can purchase tickets and day passes yet no travel cards or reduction cards.

1) Go to sbb.ch > Login
2) Create an account (choose: no customer number)
3) Go to the Swiss Half Fare Card product page, and purchase it from there; make sure you are logged-in while purchasing.

4) Go to the SBB Mobile app, use your username/password from sbb.ch for authentification
5) See the Swiss Half Fare Card unter ‘Tickets’
6) Change the reduction type manually using these instructions:

Thank you so much for the answer ! While following the above steps I face a technical error while trying to proceed to checkout on the buy Swiss half card page. The page gives a error notification and does not proceed to checkout
What should I do ?

Enter all passenger information in full capital letters and try again.

Also, your device should have the system time update set to automatic, not manual.

One quick question - would a day pass for 2 work on the following areas/ routes:

Wengen to interlaken
Interlaken to say spiez or thun
And spiez/ thun to montreaux
Also does it cover areas like engelberg to Lucerne, Lucerne interlaken express and the stoos Bahn station for the hike?

And, its called Montreux.
