Yes, you can, provided one of the two travelers holds the Swiss Half Fare Card. By the way, it costs CHF 120 ($146), not $120.
The Day Pass for 2 is primarily a promotion destined to locals, but tourist can buy it, too.
It is rather odd that you have not found the info online. It is there, and yes, the Swiss Half Fare Card is mentioned as well, the latter which is only available for tourists 🙂
