What you suggest is not the way I want to answer questions.
I see my self in the role of a coach, I help people in their planning. And, as an instructor, I like the self-directed-learning approach.
Mentioning the source of information indeed helps people to find the information themselves another time, and simoulteanously, it validates my answer, the latter which is also part of my response. I do not like to work with assumptions.
If I would not mention the source of information, the next question would be: is there any proof for what you say?
And, what concerns the validity map in particular, from my experience, people often do not know that such a map exists at all.
You are free to do provide answers differently.
