Penalty charged even though valid ticket but not stamped

I bought day pass today at zug station counter along with coney land tickets, ticket was to be stamped which was not made aware to me by ticket seller at counter. In the train , the ticket checker fined me 99 francs just because ticket was not stamped, the date on ticket read 28-05-2025 to 13-06-2025, today is 28-05-2025 so why would I buy ticket if I was not travelling, i showed receipt also still ticket checker was not ready to listen, I went to SBB station counter at Zurich, thry said u go back to Zug and tell them and also call on number, I will do it tomorrow as I cannot waste coney land tickets now, I have few simple questions

1) I understand the ticket was not stamped but I provided all proofs that it was purchased today, the ticket seller never said that it need to be stamped, i am trying to learn german but it takes time. The ticket checker said u should have read, I am sorry i didnt use Google translator as I was not aware but why was ticket checker in a rush to fine? I understand it’s his duty but shouldnt the person understand that ticket date was showing todays date with receipt.

2) why Ticket seller did not inform that ticket need to be stamped?

3) why no one waa ready to listen at Zurich station?

4) The ticket checker was nice to another person having a different problem but just because I tried to call out that my ticket was valid, he just said u r in Switzerland and u should have read the ticket, its not ticket seller duty to tell you? What is the point of buying ticket at counter if it’s not the duty to inform?

I am dissappointed as i have been following all rules for last so many months and if my intention was to travel ticket less then why should I have bought dated ticket today?

The ticket you bought is a ticket that could be used for travel on any day between today, and the 13th of June. But only for one trip. Therefore it needs to be stamped before use, and that is mentioned on the ticket.

The reason it must be stamped before use is that otherwise people would just not stamp it, in the hope that no conductor comes, and then use it again a second time, and maybe a third time even. Hence the rule exists that it must be stamped, and that rule is enforced.

I understand this but the date i bought was 28th May 2025 and today is 28th May 2025 and ticket clearly shows 28th May 2025 to 13th June 2025, the ticket checker could have told that u can stamp it at the station or he could have stamped it. My contentuon is that my ticket was not bought on 27th , it was bought on 28th and ticket receipt and ticket both showed the date of 28th May so it was more of strict enforcing than anything else. I spoke to ticket checker in another train and he seemed surprised by action so it seems that there was an option which could have been exercised but it depends on person to person.

It is true, the card must be stamped before boarding; it is a flexible ticket to be used on any day within its validity period. Please see the back of the card.
