Hello Rhodopsin_
Welcome to the SBB Community.
No, you do not have to take this particular train.
The Saver Day Pass is valid from 08 June 2025 00:00 AM to 09 June 05:00 AM and entites you to use the Swiss transit system at will during its validity, no matter the train type, no matter the means of transport. In a nutshell: you can use any service during that time.
Choosing a connection upon purchase of a ticket is required in order for the ticketing system to determine / suggest the best ticket while in your case this was the Saver Day Pass.
Kindly keep in mind that e-tickets, so the Saver Day Pass as well, require your physical passport or government identity card while using the Swiss transit system. A photo of your passport or a paper copy is not considered a valid proof of identification and is therefore not accepted. Passengers without a physical ID document will be required to purchase a new ticket and to pay a hefty fine of CHF 90 per person during the ticket check.
Kind regards,
Roland
