I have purchased Swiss Travel Pass via HappyRail. I can use it to get discounts when I purchase ticket on SBB web?

I am planning to purchase Golden Express from Montreux to Lucern. I was told there is no direct train, I have to purchase 2 or 3 stops tickets separately, is this true? I am kind of confused when I am on the website, there are flood of information and I am kind of confused and lost, can anyone help me? This is my very first time visiting Switzerland as a backpacker.

Did you buy the Swiss Travel Pass or the Swiss Half Fare Card?

Owning the Swiss Travel Pass you are not required to buy tickets for the Golden Pass as it covers the entire route from Montreux to Lucerne. A ticket would be required provided you hold the Swiss Half Fare Card.
