Travelling with a hard case bike flight box

Is it allowed to travel on the train between Zurich and Thun with a hard case bike box with a dismantled bike inside? The overall weight of the box and bike is 23kg and the dimensions are 120 × 33 × 91cm.

Is there an oversized luggage compartment and does this need to be booked?

Firstly, welcome to the SBB Community!

There is a family coach (watch for the FA sign on the departure board) which offers more space, to be shared with prams and strollers. However, as soon as you occupy / block a bicycle space, you are required to have a bike ticket (or a day pass for CHF 15).

Your case must neither block entry doors, nor emergency exits, nor emergency equipment.
