Sorry for the confusion.
I am trying to buy a swiss half fare card. What I was posting the second time was just to try to narrow down the problem on the sbb website to see whether it was widespread or not.
I just tried to buy the swiss half fare card from my phone and I came across something strange. On SBB website on the phone if I dont login but enter the passenger details while trying to purchase I donot get at least the initial error, but if I try on the phone website after logging in to my swiss pass account I get an error.
so it looks like something to do with my profile. I gave my name in all caps, and reselected country of residence (from the drop down - so it is not in all caps). For town I gave my actual town - should I have given my state instead. Not sure whether any validation is occurring.
One thing I did notice is that on the personal details page display my birth date is shown wrongly as 1 day before the date I entered, but when I go to change it I can see the correct date(so there was nothing to change) and in the passenger selection on the page for buying the swiss half fare card it also shows correctly.
So not sure what is the problem.
Current status is that I have not yet been able to purchase the swiss half fare card - I do not want to purchase through the phone without using my login, so would like if it is possible to buy through my computer using my login which currently I am unable to do.
Buying the swiss half fare card is my first step, after which I would like to buy tickets so would really like this problem solved.
