Repeated app errors

This only started happening for me last week but my partner says it has happened with his app before. Attempting to buy tickets with a half fare card in advance is not longer possible. The app displays “Show Offers” which goes to a fail page saying ‘Connection offers failed’ with error code NTTIF-3004. This is really annoying as the dégriffé tickets can’t be purchased. Having to go to a ticket office or machine is not convenient. Before you ask, I logged out, deleted the app and reinstalled. Same issue. The phone is on the latest iOS so no conflict there.

Did you contact the Aigle–Ollon–Monthey–Champéry railway company for that purpose already? The problem is located at their end.

That was going to be the next step. If you put in Monthey-Ville as the destination, the app works. Presumably AOMC don’t care about passengers who live up in the valley!

Update: TPC called me today. This software error will be resolved on Wednesday 18 June. The solution in the meantime is to buy a ticket to Monthey-Ville and if you are travelling onwards from there to any station in the Troistorrents - Val d’Illiez - Champéry sector, the ticket inspectors are au courant and will understand why your ticket does not show your final destination. You can also try a ticket machine or the TPC app. Going to the ticket office will not help because they also cannot issue a ticket on their systems until the software error is fixed.
