Dear SBB Customer Service,
I hope this message finds you well.
I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction following an unfortunate incident that occurred during my recent journey with SBB.
While traveling with my small dog — who was inside his transport bag — I briefly took him out of the bag while exiting the train in Lausanne, as I needed to change trains to continue toward Aigle. At that moment, a ticket inspector approached me in an extremely aggressive and disrespectful manner. He insisted that I needed to pay for my dog, despite the fact that my dog was in a transport bag and according to my understanding — and experience from the past 10 years of travel with SBB — pets in transport bags travel free of charge.
The inspector’s tone and behavior were completely inappropriate and left me feeling humiliated in public. I have always respected the rules of transport and have never encountered such a situation before. I believe I was treated unfairly and unjustly, and I kindly request that you review this matter.
I would appreciate a clarification on the official policy regarding small dogs in transport bags, and I hope appropriate steps will be taken to ensure that no other passengers experience such disrespectful treatment in the future.
Thank you for your attention, and I look forward to your response.
Kind regards,
