Hello, I bought a ticket from Grindelwald to Jungfraujoch through the SBB website. Initially, it says there are no seats available, but I was able to reserve one. First, from Grindelwald Terminal to Eigergletscher, then by cable car, and then to Jungfraujoch. However, if I book directly from Eigergletscher to Jungfraujoch, the website doesn’t say anything about seats being unavailable. I don’t understand. Thank you.

On what site did you book directly? Probably on jungfrau.ch and not on SBB website.

The reservation system of the Jungfrau railways is not connected with the SBB system. It means that you can only buy tickets through the SBB website, but not reserve seats. It doesn’t mean that seats ar not available.

I reported this issue to the SBB. The text is bad. it gives the impression that the train is fully booked. It would be better to indicate that reservations are not available on the SBB website.

For the following routes, which require reservations, there are unfortunately no seats available: Eigergletscher - Jungfraujoch. Information on seat reservations can be found in the SBB online timetable in the connection view.

The place you should buy Jungfraujoch tickets and reservations is the station. And the time is the morning you go… You should not book this in advance.

For example: Had you booked today it would have been a waste of money, unless you like snow blizzards.
