Last weekend I bought a “Snow’n’Rail” pass online. The booking page for this promotion has many bugs / user experience issues which has lead to my ski pass losing 1 day and my return journey being booked on the wrong day. I have just had another look at the page and these errors are still apparent. I have recorded my screen to evidence the problems.
The skipass I bought was supposed to start on the 6th, the day after my train journey (which arrived at 23:30 on the 5th). Clearly I cannot go skiing after 23:30 but my skipass apparently was processed to start on the 5th, I only discovered this on Saturday at the ski resort. I was expecting my skipass to work and I couldn’t use it, so I have lost a day of skiing.
Also my return journey has somehow been ordered incorrectly, I selected to return on the 11th and only noticed on Sunday that the ticket has been processed for the 10th, this is a much more expensive day to travel. I had to buy another ticket to get back to Basel.
The booking page has many glitches that you can check yourself, i.e if you click the train journey boxes after having made a selection the dates are changed to the the start / end date of the skipass without it being clear this has happened. I don’t know if this is what caused the problem or not but I have only just noticed this bug. Then the summary page displays the outward journey as the inward journey and vice versa. I don’t know if there are other bugs like this.
I tried calling the customers service helpline, they said there were issues with the page and I would receive an SMS to further the complaint, I never received the SMS.
I have now tried making the complaint via the website and in multiple browsers it never completes and says there was an error processing the form.
If this message board doesn’t work I suppose I’ll need to send a letter by post!
