Where to get the Swiss Travel Pass

Hi, Shall I buy the Swiss Travel Pass on the SBB mobile app or through travel agent? Watched some videos and people recommend buying via agents. Just wondering why shouldn’t I buy it on the SBB website/app directly.

Besides, is it correct that I need to activate the pass before my trip if i buy the flexi pass?

I want to get to know the guy who told you to purchase via an agent… And then, you will come back here and ask, how can you link your Swiss Travel Pass from the agent with your SBB Mobile app? No way 🙂

Simply get it from SBB, with no additional costs that an agent might will add.

Go to www.sbb.ch/en > Login
Choose to create an account (choose: no customer number)
Go to the Swiss Travel Pass site from SBB, https://www.sbb.ch/en/tickets-offers/tickets/guests-abroad/swiss-travel-pass.html
Hit the buy button
Login
Purchase.

Then, download the SBB Mobile app, log in with the same username/password, and there it is: your Swiss Travel Pass. You can show it right in the app, all you need is your physical passport in addition (no photo, no paper copy of your passport, though).

Btw, the Swiss Travel Pass is not available from the SBB Mobile app, it is only available from the SBB’s website.

RolandP Hi Roland, is debit card accepted on SBB website? I tried to pay it via a debit card but it looks like not successful.

Thanks Ronald! That’s why I was not totally convinced after doing some research. I guess those YouTubers have commission or rebate from agent.

Just want to double check if I need to activate the dates I use it since I am going to buy the flexi pass but not the consecutive pass. Again, I read this from those who bought via agents.

No, credit cards only. Debit cards are accepted at the ticket office and ticket vending machines.
