I went to the SBB ticket information service this afternoon in Geneva and the man was deeply offensive, and refused to reimburse me. He said I said I should have got an “attestation” - a document from the ticket controller that we were waiting for the match ticket to appear on the UEFA application. I explained that SBB information counter had told us we would get reimbursed so I didnt think I had to show any more proof than the fact I bought a train ticket.
The match ticket appeared on the uefa app at 14.42. The deeply unpleasant man at the SBB information service said we should have waited until it appeared and missed the start of the match in Basel.
I offered to show him proof that I had bought a train ticket on Swiss Pass, in my Swiss bank account and the UEFA ticket, but he said that he only dealt in facts and not “croyances” beliefs. He said there had been too much abuse of the system.
I explained I was not abusing the system but acting on the advice given my a woman at the SBB information kiosk on Sunday. I am really upset by his attitude.
