Question about Depositing GA Travel Card

I just ordered a GA Travel Pass for my 16 year old son. The agent at the station told me that the card can be ‘deposited’ (temporarily paused) for 5-30 days per year; with a credit back for unused days.

Is it possible to stop the card for two time periods when I know we will be away and he will not use the card? Or, is it a one time pause during the year? Here is the example…

He will not use the card from September 28th - October 11th and again from December 22nd - January 2nd. Can we register BOTH date ranges for deposit, and subsequent credit? Or can you deposit only once during the contract term?

Firstly: welcome to the SBB Community.

You can deposit the GA Travel Card multiple times until you have reached the total number of 30 days per contract period. Any duration of more than 5 days can be managed by yourself in your son’s SwissPass account. If you have less than five days to spare, you have to call SBB to use them.
