Wrong last name on my Swiss Half Fare Card

Hello,

I just bought a Swiss Half Fare Card via KKday and found on the voucher that my last name was repeatedly showing as my first name (Ex: DAYSE Dayse).
I contacted KKday asking if it is possible to make an amendment, and they said they could not help.

#Questions:
#1 Is there any way I could make this change without needing to place a new order?
#2 Is it obligatory to make this change, or would I be alright just using the original voucher ?

I don’t think that it is possible to amend the name, however you could obtain a refund of the card and buy a new one with the right name. Ask KKday again.

You could also call the SBB Contact Center with this number, but you would have to pay a handling fee of 10 CHF:

+41 51 225 78 56 (24/7, waiting times may occur).

You purchased it from an agency, a reseller. The refund must be initiated by them.

Of course it matters, why would the name be required otherwise?
The Swiss Half Fare Card must ahow the names as stated in your passport. The latter is required for the ticket check.

Next time you better purchase from SBB directly.

I was hoping this could be solved without having to obtain a refund, but it seems like the only way. I’ve obtained a refund and purchased a new Fare Card via KKday.

I was just wondering if this error could be ignored or corrected without having to obtain a refund.
Anyhow, I’ve obtained a refund and purchased a new Fare Card.
