error on processing query

Hello,
I’m trying to complete the purchase of my Swiss half fare pass but I get an error.
Initially, I did a mistake on the birthdate, but corrected it. So not sure because of that
I am no longer able to purchase the ticket. This is on the website and not the mobile app, I
have not download it yet I am traveling on 13.10.25. Can I purchase it when I arrive or will I have
the same issue at the kiosk?

Credit card issues with online shops are often related with a not enabled 3D Secure 2 (3DS2) security feature.

This won’t happen on-site, as 3D Secure is not used with EFTPOS terminals. That’s because you are physically present with the card, so your identity as rightful card owner could be verified in a different way.

I’d recommend to visit the SBB travel centre at the airport right after landing, where you would clarify / sort out the issues you already had when attempting to get the half fare card online.

You can purchase the pass on arrival, but you will have to go to a ticket office. You are unlikelly to encounter CC problems there, as it is for “cardholder not present” transactions that foreign cards often create issues.

You cannot get it from a ticket vending machine, nor can you get it from a “kiosk”. The latter is where you get drinks and snacks and smokes, not public transport tickets…
