The Swiss Half Fare Card is useful if you will spend at least CHF 240 on tickets per person, or if you have got children aged 6 to 15.99 years. The Swiss Travel Pass is useful if you will spend ticket costs that goes beyond the cost of a Swiss Travel Pass, or for simplicity: if you do not want to bother yourself with purchasing tickets and simply travel on the Swiss transit network (certain mountain trips are not free of charge, however).
