SBB is not responsible for ticket offers that concern dogs, since the dog pass is not only valid on SBB services. Ticket offers are managed by Alliance Swiss Pass, that manages the ticket offers on behalf of all public transport companies in Switzerland, about 400 companies. SBB is simply one among of them.

That said, a transferable dog pass has existed in the past, the cost was CHF 800 per year. The new dog pass is no longer transferable yet is less costly, even if both parents have their own pass.

Furthermore, a ticket cannot be issued for an animal, for legal reasons.
