Point to Point Ticket not available to buy - Supersaver only ?

Hi,
I am looking to buy single tickets from Geneva Airport to Bern, and Bern to Zurich Airport for 12 and 14 November. Because of potential delays etc at the airport, I want the flexibility of a Point to Point ticket. When trying to book online, I can choose a Point to Point ticket from the ticket options, but once I go to checkout, the option disappears and I can only choose between Supersaver or City Pass tickets.
Does anyone knows why?

Can you upload a screenshot showing what you tried to describe above?
There’s no checkout (no shopping basket), and what you name ‘city pass’ seems to be the optional add-on for local (bus/tramway) transportation available with a point-to-point ticket.

If you want a flexible point-to-point ticket there is no need to buy it in advance, as the price is the same always. So you can just get your ticket from a ticket machine when you arrive in Geneva.

These are the options I can choose from. Either with extra public transport included, or valid on one train only.

I can confirm, there is no P2P-ticket available when choosing full fare. It appears when choosing half fare, though.

Oops, that’s weird, as the ticket options are displayed correctly (as usual) if half fare prices are selected like in my screenshot below.

Nevertheless, if comparing the prices and you’re brave enough 😉, that strange ‘city ticket’ for 59.- probably should issue the correct GE - BE p2p ticket without any city options. And if it doesn’t, you should be able to immediately cancel it again with full refund.
Otherwise wait until the issue has been fixed, or you could alternatively get the ticket in the SBB Mobile app.

What are your origin and destination? It is possible that you selected bus stops as origin or destination.

SBB replied that the City-Ticket has got the same price as a P2P ticket, therefore the city ticket is offered only, including city transportation.

Uhm… that SBB answer still doesn’t explain the 3 different ‘City tickets’ offered with 2 different prices in the full fare screenshot above. In other words, which city is actually included in the 59.- option (Geneva?), and what exactly do you get for either of the 69.40 options?

They really need to fix the description of those ticket options IMHO, instead of letting people find out after purchasing it (and not being able to cancel/refund anymore if traveling the same day!)

It is confusing yet the calculation is correct.

For Geneva, the ‘upgrade Genève city’ includes the Geneva city centre, including the travel from GEAP to GE, therefore, the P2P ticket is only calculated for GE-BN and this results in the same price as a plain GEAP to BN P2P ticket.
