I need help booking, please!

My family (8 of us) is coming to Switzerland on Saturday. I feel super stupid trying to book a scenic train for the group. We are staying in Nendaz and have a rental car. Can someone give me an idea for a train ride for the day that would be scenic to where we can ride and return the same day? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You do not need to book anything,

Just drive to a railway station, park your car, buy a ticket and go. There is the Mont Blanc Express from Martigny, or you can go from Aigle to Les Diablerets… A bit further there is Montreux - Rocher de Naye etc…

But what prompted you to go to Nendaz in November? There is nothing going on there this week. All you will do is spend a lot of time driving to and from the place…

It came up on AirBnb as a super nice chalet in a fairly remote part of Switzerland. And we don’t mind the travel. It should allow us to see a lot of the country, no? Is there a specific panoramic train we can ride for the day that has some great views?

I can imaging that if you go to an out of the way place outside the main season that you can indeed get good value. You will spend a lot of time driving though. and won’t be able to see a lot of the country. You aren’t exactly in the middle of things.

The ride from Martiginy to Chamonix and back would be a nice ride.

All of the trains suggested above have. You only need to hope for a clear day to enjoy the view.
Up to the mountains /with great views are the following trains approximately near Nendaz:

Bex - Col de Bretaye
Aigle - Les Diablerets
Montreux - Gstaad (Possible to extend and loop around via Spiez (- optional Kandersteg for better views) - Brig/Visp - Sion
Vevey - Les Pléiades
Vevey - Puidoux
Puidoux - Lausanne
