It was never the case that abonnements were taken into account when purchasing tickets, only if you were to purchase an extension ticket or while using Easy Ride.
You have to check yourself whether the abo can be accounted or not; this is all dependig on the connection (train type) you gonna take; this is why the app does not take it into account automatically.
There is no remboursement for tickets less than CHF 10.
