Not sure from where you got the info that you will hold a Swiss Pass. It is actually the Swiss Travel Pass what you hold. The SwissPass is a resident thing.
It is not possible to import the Swiss Travel Pass into the app if it was not previously purchased with a customer account from SBB.

As for now, simply use the PDF document together with your physical passport or identity card (no images of it on smart phones, no photo copies, both are not accepted).
