Validation Ticket

Hello, I´m trying to buy the following Outward-and-return trip ticket “Zürich Flughafen to Kilchberg ZH”, which turns into a “1x ZVV Single Ticket 4 Zones” ticket.
I am making the purchasing through the website, how do i validate the ticket? What are the 4 zones (121, 110, 150 and? I will arrive to the airport at 10am

It is not advisable to buy such tickets in advance because you don’t know if your flight will be on time. Buy it after your arrival in Switzerland on vending machines or with the SBB Mobile app.

If you buy a return ticket, you should obtain a ZVV 24h-Ticket valid for 24 hours in the selected zones.

You can look at this map to see what zones are included, fare zone 110 (Zurich City) counts double. This ticket is also valid in buses and trams:

Generally speaking, e-tickets are ‘validated’ with their purchase. Note that ZVV tickets are regional fare network tickets, which might be comparable to subway tickets in your country. There is absolutely no point buying such tickets in advance, especially after a flight, because a 4 zone ZVV single journey ticket is valid only 2 hours. A ‘return’ ZVV ticket costing twice as much is valid 24h.

Each ticket shows zones and validity times as displayed. During the ticket’s validity, you can travel unlimited times within the listed zones on all modes of transport.
