I’ve read multiple articles and explanations but I’m still confused, so I’m hoping someone here can clarify.
I’m looking at Saver Day Passes for the same travel date (Geneva → Zurich), and I see different prices shown for different connections on the same day. From what I understand, the Saver Day Pass is valid on any train on the selected day, not a specific departure.
So my questions are:
1. Why are there different prices shown for Saver Day Passes on the same calendar day, if they all offer the same unlimited travel?
2. If I buy the cheapest Saver Day Pass shown (even if it’s displayed next to an earlier connection), will it still be valid on any later train that day, including ones where the Saver Day Pass price is shown as higher?
I’m trying to understand whether the price difference is actually tied to the train time, or if it’s just how availability is displayed in the app/website.
Thanks in advance — appreciate any clarification from people familiar with how SBB pricing really works.
