Class upgrade

Hello,
First time that i take the offer for a class upgrade when buying 2nd class tickets un the mobile app. The experience feels like a SCAM or at least is very deceiptive as you are supposed to buy the tickets AND the upgrade. A normal experience would allow you to buy the tickets and add the upgrade, all in a single purchase. Today, travelling with 4 other person and paying for all of them (which is a cool feature of the app) i had to buy the tickets in the train (which I honestly thought I did with the upgrade purchase).
Could this be improved ?

Working as a ticket inspector, I am unable to follow your thoughts. And, there is definitely no SCAM.

When you knew that you will travel in 1st class, why did you purchase 2nd class tickets plus an upgrade instead of a 1st class ticket that comprises the two?
Class upgrade tickets are for people with 2nd class tickets who would like to change classes spontaneously. Therefore, in long-distance trains, there is still the option to purchase them from the train personnel.

Purchasing multiple ticket offers in one single step is currently not possible.
