Sorry to ask again, but when I advance to the checkout page it says “Special 1-day travel passes are delivered by post in 3-5 days”. I entered a swiss address from a family member, but I would need the pass the moment I arrive at the airport so really need it to be digital 😅

Do you have experience with this situation? Is it a typo in the checkout and will I still receive it digital?

I do not know if they will be issued in digital form. The only form I know them as is as a paper ticket. But you could consider getting them directly at the airport. Both major airports, Geneva and Zürich, have a Coop at the airport or nearby where you should be able to directly get one on the spot. (Note: I could not verify their avaliability, but I would be very surprised to find that they don’t have any in stock).

Sorry, this is definitely my fault. I was in believe that they were available online, too. What is available online is the class upgrade ticket for the Coop Special Day Pass yet not the Day Pass itself.

When will you arrive?

Interdiscount is the Coop’s technics shop; they also sell the day pass and offer online order and pick-up at their store. There is a store at Zurich Airport. If you arrive close to 4th March and during the shop opening times this may be a viable option.

Tafunge25 Thank you for the feedback. I will arrive there after 4th March, that’s why I was trying to buy them online beforehand.
Guess I will need to buy the normal SBB Day Pass.

If arriving after 4th march, you might tray having the pass sent as poste restante to the airport post office located in the main shopping area (near Migros supermarket, check opening times):

Oh, and should that work, don’t forget to validate that Coop pass with a time stamp in one of those red machines (some are also integrated in ticket vending machines) before boarding the first train, otherwise you’d get fined with an empty date field.

Wanted to know if this pass would be valid for the Golden Pass Express from Montreux?
Once bought how do I activate this?
Would you recommend reserving for 7th March? (Is it season time?) Sorry if my questions are too naive, I’m travelling switzerland form the first time!

2) You have to stamp the physical ticket at the station using the amber stamp machines; the ticket is available until 4 March at Coop and Interdiscount stores.

3) You mean reserving a seat? Yes for GoldenPass I would recommend a seat reservation.

I’m sorry if this is redundant, but I’m not sure what you mean by stamp the physical ticket?

Right now, I just have the booklet/ticket I got from Coop. Do I need to use some code form this to redeem a physical ticket? I’m sorry if my question is too basic, it’s my first trip and want everything to go as per plan!

Also, if I don’t reserve a seat, and the train is full, would they allow me to board the train?

As an addition to the above answer, if the train is full to the extent where it becomes a security risk (for example because the train could not be evacuated quickly enough) you might be denied access. The only place where this happens usually is between Arth-Goldau and Bellinzona because of the high security requirements of the Gotthard base tunel. It has never happened to me even once actually, despite travelling really often throughout Switzerland, so you really do not need to worry.

Where are you starting from? Supersaver Tickets may still be available, but you have to buy two one-way tickets and not one return ticket.
