The Swiss Family Card is an add on the the Swiss Travel System products “Swiss Travel Pass” and “Swiss Half Fare Card”.
What you have, the “Halbtax”, als called the “Half Fare Travel Card” does not entitle you to the Family Card. So it would appear that you are confusing two products here.
You can get a junior card for your child.
