Hello,

I intend to buy a ticket from the geneva airport to the ski-resort. The problem is, how you can imagine it’s extremely hard for me to guess my time of arrival due to the usual delays in the flight and bags.

If I buy the normal ticket instead of the supersaver can I then swap them at the train station or just enter whatever train is coming for that destination?

Do the trains usually sell out? Just to know if I should buy in advance or just buy on arrival.

You can buy a point-to-point ticket for your trip, so you are flexible with the departure. However, a saver ticket would be train-bound, non-exchangeable or non-refundable. In this case I recommend a a point-to-point ticket or if available a saver day pass.

I agree with the previous response. I would avoid purchasing a Supersaver ticket when arriving GVA as you cannot obtain a refund or make a change should your flight arrive late (or early). You could, however, purchase a Supersaver ticket when you fly out of GVA. Check the point-to-point price for your destination and compare it to the Saver Day pass. The latter may be less expensive, depending on how far away your ski resort is from GVA. These passes can be purchased up to 60 days in advance and steadily go up in price as the travel date approaches. They are good for travel all day on almost all trains (busses and boats, too), until 0500 the next morning.
