I work for a travel agency in the US. For the past several months, we have been unable to buy seat reservations for ANY Swiss trains, including typical SBB trains from point to point, and special panoramic trains like the Bernina Express.
These trains are for typical routes that we have previously purchased seat reservations for, and show that seat reservations are available on the SBB site and/or in the case of the panoramic trains, are necessary. We have tried using various credit cards like Visa, Mastercard, AMEX and Discover - including some with 3D verification, and have also tried to use the desktop website as well as the ioS app, both with and without VPNs on.
We reached out to SBB who basically said that we need a Swiss credit card to buy them. Please help!
