Domodossola → Brig — affected by construction work?

Hi, I’m planning to travel from Milano Porta Garibaldi to Lausanne on April 6th, with a connection via Domodossola. My itinerary is:
∙ R train arriving Domodossola at 17:53
∙ RE1 departing Domodossola at 17:58, direction Spiez
The app shows a warning about limited service between Iselle di Trasquera and Domodossola due to construction work (affecting RE1, Mondays and Tuesdays, 10:30–13:30).
My departure is at 17:58, well outside the stated restriction window. Is this specific service likely to run normally? Also, is the 5-minute transfer time at Domodossola realistic, or should I consider an alternative connection?

A five-minute connection is risky, but should be doable if your train arrives on time and you don’t have too much luggage. The RE1 should run as indicated, i.e. the online schedule is adaped to the construction works. I do not know how reliable this exact connection from Milano is.

Those messages alerting you to works are shown with any train going over a route affected, even if the train itself is not affected. This so people know why the schedule they see is not the usual one.

Note that if you miss your connection in Domodossola you can just hop on the EC that follows, as in Switzerland that train has no compulsory reservation.

Note that I would have booked the EC at 15:10, that still has seats…
