Interrail pass valid for Zürich - München?

Hello,
I couldn’t find any information on if my Interrail Global Pass is valid for the train that runs between Zürich - München. Can I use my Interrail pass for this journey (for example on the 2.5.2026 for the train that departs at 13.32 from Zürich HB and arrives to München Hbf at 17.16)? If I can, is booking seats mandatory or optional?

Yes, your Interrail Global Pass is valid. If you live in Switzerland, you have to use an outbound journey. Seat reservations are optional. These trains are often very busy, but it is difficult to predict the occupancy. Reservations cost only € 3 on https://shop.oebbtickets.at.
