Hi RolandP,
planning the trip to Switzerland, residing in New Zealand, I will get a 6-day Swiss Travel Pass as we will sleep 5 nights in Interlaken. I installed SBB app on my phone. It does not offer me the option to select Swiss Travel Pass as an option, only shows the GA options. Does this mean I cannot use the app if Ii have a Swiss Travel Pass, or do I select the GA option and pay for one of the price options shown to me after that?
Also - what is the relevance of seat reservation? I understand it is not mandatory? So if we do not do a seat reservation then do we sit anywhere we want, but someone could ask us to move to a different seat? Or are we not allowed to sit anywhere and we have to travel standing?
If we have the Swiss Travel Pass and the train cost for a certain trip is included, do we still need too stay in the cue to present the ticket, or do we just get on the train and someone will ask to see the travel pass later during the journey? It would be great if we can skip the ticket cues but I ma unsure if there are barriers / turnstiles when you get to the platform, and there you need a certain ticket (even if it is free) but to get that ticket we still need to cue for it?
Thank you.
