I have booked and purchased a train ticket for my manager and also booked and reserved his seat reservation but cannot find to reserve his first class seat, please let me know where can he get confirmation that he has the seat reserved?

Is it for an Intercity (IC) train?

For national journeys, it is uncommon to reserve seats unless travelling as a group. People just get on the train and take any free seat.

To verify your seat reservation please call the SBB Contact Center: +41 848 446 688 or +41 51 225 78 00.

It is intercity, i booked a first class ticket but cannot find a seat to reserve like how you do it when booking a plane ticket. how can i get him allocated a seat? 😞

You cannot select the seat by the number online on our website. You’ll get a seat that’s free, respecting the selected desire of location.

Anyways, it’s possible to check on the SBB railcounter at the train station if a seat nearby is free. Or you can simply call the SBB Contact Center +41 848 44 66 88 (CHF 0.08/Min.) or from abroad +41 51 225 78 00.
