Hi, I am also confused about the 1-month GA TravelCard. I have the following questions. It would be good if someone can provide me the answers for the same.

1) I am a non-Swiss tourist travelling for about 20 days to Switzerland. Someone told me that 1-month GA TravelCard has a contract agreement to be signed for at least 6 months and I will not be able to break it before six months. If I try to break it, I may have to pay huge penalty for the same. Is this true?
2) If the answer to the above question is no, I read that the TravelCard will be delivered by post in about 10 days. As I am a tourist, I may not have a permanent address to get the card by post. Also I would be needing the card to be used from Day 1 with all advantages of the card viz., discounts on mountain excursions as well. Do I get the 50% discount on most of the mountain excursions and some mountain excursions like Staterhorn and Rigi are all fully covered by the GA Travel Card? Appreciate answers to these questions so that I can take informed decision on GA TravelCard.

No. There are three types; the monthly with monthly payment, the yearly with monthly payment and the yearly with yearly payment. Just be sure to get only the monthly GA.
Furthermore, be sure to cancel the subscritption right after you buy it because it will extend itself automatically unless you cancel it.

There is a solution in place for that case; you will get an intermediary Swiss Pass in the form of a piece of paper which together with an identity document is valid until you get your Swisspass card.
